Bo Elateiva. Come into the Ark

Bo Elateiva. Come into the Ark

The Bo Elateiva educational project was implemented by the Hesed Moshe Center, a Jewish communal charity organization. The goal is to involve young business professionals between the ages of 35 and 40 in the life of the Jewish community. It offers lessons in Jewish history, culture and traditions. The curriculum is based on the methods of informal Jewish education, which help participants become motivated for further independent learning. Sessions are led by Jewish educators, who are well-known in the Jewish world. The project is financed by the organizers and through participant co-pay.

This grant is a part of Grassroots annual competition, organized by Genesis Philanthropy Group and UJA-Federation of New York. The goal of the competition is to discover and support the best local initiatives aimed at the revival of Jewish identity, the preservation of cultural and historical heritage and the development of socially active Jewish communities.

Goals and Objectives

  • Develop educational programs for young professionals that would expand their knowledge of Jewish history and culture and shape their Jewish identity.
  • Involve young Jewish entrepreneurs in the life of the community.
  • Form a new board of trustees that can support future activities of the Jewish community.
