Professionals to Amateurs

Professionals to Amateurs

From January to September 2012, a group of professional visual arts teachers held workshops for educators in art programs at Jewish communal centers, schools and kindergartens in several Ukrainian cities (Kiev, Bila Tserkva, Irpen and Vorzel).

The workshops covered various techniques using Jewish art works as examples. The new teaching methods will help improve the quality of art programs offered by Jewish organizations and art lessons provided in Jewish schools and kindergartens.

At the end of the workshops, there was an exhibition and a competition of works created by workshop participants. The best works were incorporated into a Jewish-themed desk calendar.

In addition to Genesis Philanthropy Group, the project is supported by Beiteinu-Our Home Jewish Charitable Fund.
