Yiddish Cinema Film Festival

Yiddish Cinema Film Festival

The project plans to present old famous Jewish silent movies accompanied by a live concert of a modern klezmer band.

It will revive the old movies and will raise the awareness among the youth about the Jewish history and culture. The klezmer band will write the music for each of the three movies and each performance will be accompanied by an introduction about the history of the Jewish cinema. Presentations are planned to cover not only the Jewish community but will be open for the wider audience at various festivals and concerts.
