Grants in Israel

Since 2009, Genesis Philanthropy Group has supported a number of projects developed by Fishka, a non-profit organization in Israel.

Fishka programs aim to expand and strengthen the community of young Russian-speaking adults in Israel through creative initiatives and community service. Programs include study groups on the Talmud, the Tanakh, the history of Judaism, and the history of Israel. Close attention is given to the development, education and support of promising young Russian-speaking leaders.

In 2011, Fishka opened the Fishka House in Tel Aviv, which has since become a community center for the city's Russian-speaking young adults.

Goals and Objectives

  • Unite Russian-speaking young adults through joint creative initiatives and community service.
  • Strengthen the Jewish identity of Russian-speaking Israelis by involving them in the study of Jewish culture.
  • Develop leadership skills of project leaders and participants.
