Conference of European Rabbis: Lo Tishkach Cemetery Restoration and Preservation Project

The Lo Tishkach Jewish Cemeteries Initiative aims to collect all of the data on European Jewish burial grounds in order to standardize legislation and ensure that Jewish cemeteries and martyr sites throughout Europe are preserved and protected. By taking part in these restoration efforts, young Jews learn about Jewish history and the Holocaust, collect valuable information for storage in an extensive database, and develop values of volunteerism and Jewish activism. Genesis provided funding to bring this successful exciting program to the FSU focusing on local activities and mobilizing young people of all faiths to care for our common heritage. The project is now running in Ukraine.
