Mikro Theater

Mikro Theater originated as an informal theater studio in 1993, led by a group of young Russian-speaking immigrants in Israel. By 1999, the group became known as the Hebrew-Russian Theater Company, whose productions are now acknowledged as a unique asset to Jerusalem's cultural life.

GPG's funding makes it possible for the company reach Russian-speaking audiences in the periphery, as the theater tours Israel with New performances, most of which focus on Jewish themes and stories. By recognizing that performing arts have high prestige with the Russian-speaking Jewish population, Genesis helps facilitate the exploration of Jewish culture and identity for its target audience, it contributes to the strengthening of Russian-Israeli culture.
