Regional Center for Educational Programs with Jewish Content: 2008 Jewish Teacher of the Year

The Regional Center for Educational Programs with Jewish Content has been providing methodological and practical support to teachers of Jewish disciplines since 2000. Its activities are crucial to the fulfillment of GPG's vision, which puts an emphasis on cultivating capable leaders and Jewish studies educators in Russia. Genesis funded the Regional Center for the 2008 Teacher of the Year Award— an academic competition among school teachers in a number of subjects, such as the Hebrew language, Israeli history, Jewish literature, Jewish traditions, as well as music and art at schools across Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
