Office in Israel
About the Israel Office Out of eight million citizens living in Israel, more than one million speak Russian. Jewish immigrants - olim - from the former Soviet Union play an enormous part in Israeli political life, business and culture. Just like the Jewish State itself, this community is still in the process of developing its own identity.
With a deep understanding of the historical role of Russian Jewry in Israeli history, the Israeli office of Genesis Philanthropy Group aims to assist in the processes that enable the younger generation of Russian-speaking Israelis to become an integral part of the Jewish people, Israeli nation and the Jewish world as a whole.
The Israeli office of Genesis Philanthropy Group supports projects which lead to systemic changes within Israeli society in general and the Russian-speaking community in particular. We collaborate on these projects with leading State and civic institutions, prominent NGOs and grassroots groups, in order to help this community reconnect with its past and reclaim its future in the global Jewish continuum.
