Project Kesher: L'Dor v'Dor (From Generation to Generation)

Project Kesher is an umbrella organization for over 150 Jewish women’s groups in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Georgia. The goal of the project is to establish, develop and strengthen Jewish communities through Jewish education and social activism with a focus on women, who—as research shows—are the most important link in passing Jewish culture, values, and traditions from one generation in the family to the next. L’Dor v’Dor creates a unique synergy between two generations of women— mothers and daughters—in 10 cities across Russia. Mother-Daughter retreats provide opportunities for Jewish learning, communication skills development and community activism training, simultaneously ensuring that the future generations of Jewish women become engaged in community life from an early age.
