GPG is funding the launch of an RFP (request for proposals) called Summer 2009. The program being run by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Russia, and is open to all Jewish nonprofits in Russia and Ukraine. The goal of the initiative is to increase the number of children attending Jewish summer camp while improving camps' abilities to strengthen campers’ Jewish identity. GPG grants will cover the educational component of summer camp programs, and winners will be selected based on their proposed improvements to Jewish content and the cultural appropriateness of their programs. It is estimated that up to 1500 children will benefit from this RFP in 2009. Learn more about this RFP.
