Vision and Strategy

Our vision is a world in which Russian-speaking Jews around the globe readily identify and engage with Jewish values, culture, and ethics.

As we recognize the unique challenges facing Russian-speaking Jews, we place emphasis on the agenda of identity-building and community transformation. In order to achieve systemic change within Russian-speaking Jewish populations, Genesis has committed to going beyond the practice of isolated one-time grants. Instead, GPG prioritizes capacity-building funding for long-term, wide-scale initiatives.

GPG believes that achieving a paradigm shift in the field will require entering into strategic partnerships with established not-for-profits and foundations. We seek to work with the entities that share our mission and that can meaningfully and effectively engage Russian-speaking Jews.

While our current work is limited to the FSU, Israel and North America, we will eventually engage Russian-speaking Jewish communities in other countries, assuming we can foresee a relevant positive impact.
